The Fanfare Label team was honoured to receive an invitation to the prestigious British Fashion Awards, an annual event hosted by The British Fashion Council at the iconic Royal Albert Hall on December 4th, 2023, which marked a significant moment in the global fashion calendar. It was a delightful experience for us to be surrounded by our fashion icons and the individuals who inspire us the most!
The awards ceremony is not just a glamorous affair but also a meaningful fundraiser for the BFC Foundation. It focuses on celebrating excellence in the fashion industry while supporting the future pipeline of creative talent. The event honours designers, brands, creatives, artists, and tastemakers who have made remarkable contributions to the industry.
The British fashion community paid tribute to Dame Vivienne Westwood for her fearless approach to design and activism.
The evening also paid tribute to Valentino Garavani, who was honoured for his outstanding contribution to fashion. The celebration included a fashion show featuring 24 iconic red dresses against the backdrop of "An Evening at the Opera with Valentino," a ballet filmed in his hometown.
The British fashion industry celebrated this year's NEW WAVE: Creatives cohort, recognizing 50 of the most innovative and inspiring young talents from around the world. Each winner received a unique trophy designed by a stylist, art director, and 2022 NEW WAVE: Creative Julie Liu in collaboration with the British glass production company World of Glass.
